Nailsea Bowls Club is an amateur club at the heart of the community, located at the Mizzymead Recreation Centre. These fine facilities, a gift to the community by the Wyatt family, is a registered charity (No.304589)
It is in this context that our playing members contribute on both an annual and weekly basis to support the upkeep of the green and the centre itself. Green maintenance is an ongoing cost along with green side equipment and the hire of members club room provision and upkeep. We seek sponsorship towards these ongoing costs and towards investment into the future with ongoing coaching and community social integration.
Bowls is a well supported sport across the country and internationally, with elevated exposure during 2022 as the UK hosts the Commonwealth Games, which as a club we seek to build upon. It is a healthy activity suited to all ages and abilities offering an ideal opportunity for local business exposure. Teams from around the county visit our greens on a regular basis, with Touring sides venturing from much further afield.
